1. Who we are

DV Photo Checker (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a tool that helps users create DV Lottery and passport‑sized photos.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your choices. It applies to:

• Our mobile app(s) and website(s), including dvlotteryphototool.com, dvlotteryphotochecker.com, and related subpages
• The server‑side image processing we perform to produce your DV/passport photos, automatically deleted, we don't store your data's.

3. The data we process

A) Photos you upload

What: When you choose a photo (camera or gallery), the app uploads it to our server for processing (e.g., background removal, sizing, and cropping).

Why: To generate a DV/passport-ready result and return it to you.

Retention: We automatically delete both uploaded and processed images from our server within approximately one (1) hour after processing completes. This includes temporary working files and caches connected to the processing task. We do not permanently store your photos, use them to train AI, or sell them.

Storage: We do not permanently store your photos. We do not build profiles, run facial recognition, or train AI models using your images. We do not sell your photos.

On your device: If you save the result to your device, it remains on your device under your control. Deleting it from your device is up to you.

4. App/device permissions (on your device)

Depending on how you use the app, we request:

• Camera: capture a new photo for processing.
• Photos/Media/Library: pick an existing photo and optionally save the processed result back to your device. We access only what’s needed to provide these features.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob & Adsense)

We use Google AdMob to display ads on the mobile app, AdMob (operated by Google) may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and other information to provide and personalize ads, and to measure performance. In the initial version of this app, we have not used AdMob, but in the upcoming update, we will use it to maintain server and development costs. Note that, we have used google adsense for website.

6. What we don’t do

• We don’t permanently store your photos on our server; they are automatically deleted within about one hour after processing.
• We don’t sell your personal data.
• We don’t use your photos for training AI models or for any purpose other than returning the processed result to you.

7. How we use your information

• To receive your uploaded photo, process it on our server, and deliver the resulting DV/passport photo back to your device.
• To operate and improve app functionality, reliability, and security.
• To show ads (via Google AdMob) to support development and server costs.
• To comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.

8. Legal bases (if you are in the EEA/UK)

• Performance of a contract: providing the photo processing you requested.
• Legitimate interests: running, protecting, and improving the app and service; showing non‑intrusive ads that fund the service.
• Consent: where local law requires consent for certain ad personalization or device permissions (e.g., camera, photo library).

9. Data retention

• Photos: Automatically deleted from our servers within about one hour after processing completes. If a processing job fails, cleanup still runs to remove related files within roughly the same time window.
• Ads data: Managed by Google AdMob under Google’s policies and your device/Google account ad settings.
• Minimal technical logs (if any): kept only as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting, and compliance; logs do not contain your image content.

10. Data sharing

• Service providers: We share data only with providers necessary to run the service (e.g., hosting, content delivery, error monitoring, AdMob). They are obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
• Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and safeguards to protect your information during upload, processing, and delivery. No system is 100% secure, but we minimize risk and limit retention by automatically deleting images shortly after processing.

12. Your choices and rights

• Permissions: You can enable/disable camera and photo library permissions in your device settings.
• Ads: Manage ad personalization through your device/Google settings and Google Ad Settings. However, we have not used any ads in the initial app version.
• Data rights: Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because we promptly delete processed photos and do not keep user accounts, we may have limited data to locate. Contact us at dvphototool@gmail.com, and we will help where possible.

13. Children’s privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at dvlotteryphototool.com/privacy-policy with a new “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
