Our Photo Tool

The Service has an automated service that is aimed at assisting the user in determining whether their digital photograph is in accordance with the technical requirements of the U.S. Diversity Visa (DV) Program. The tool compares a photo uploaded to a list of known technical requirements.

3. Critical Service Limitations.

Not an Official Government Tool: DV Lottery Photo Checker is a personal initiative and is not related to, approved by or run by the Department of State or any other governmental agency of the United States. The U.S. Department of State site is the only official source of information about DV Lottery.
No Guarantee of Acceptance: This Service is availed as-is and informational. So, when our tool shows that our photo has passed all the checks, it does not mean that your photo will pass the checks of the U.S. Department of State. The de facto on permitting photos lies entirely with the officials of the U.S. government.
Automated Analysis: The Service is based on an automated algorithm. We do not claim to be accurate; however, we may fail to detect every conceivable error in the photo, and automatically the official DV Program requirements can change with no prior notice. Your responsibility is only to make sure that your application complies.

Hack into or interfere with the Service, its servers, or its networks. This involves the invasion of viruses or scraping and overwhelming the system with bots.
Attempt to reverse engineer the Service or attempt to use the Service in any manner without our written permission.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You maintain all rights to ownership of the photo which you upload. Your photo does not belong to us. According to our Privacy Policy, your photo will be automatically erased in our servers as after processing it is not retained or used in any other way.

6. Privacy

Privacy is a very important issue. We can use your data based on our Privacy Policy, which is contained in these Terms. It can help you see how we use the pictures you post and what minimal information we retain. We do not archive or distribute your pictures.

7. Disclaimers of Warranties and Limitation of Liabilities.
