Thanks, you have used the Photo Checker of DV Lottery. It is my own project that I constructed and am continuing to maintain in my spare time so that I can assist the applicants like you. I would be pleased to receive your feedback, suggestion or a bug that you have discovered.

Information below should be read carefully before an email is sent. It will allow me to contribute more efficiently and understand what I am able and unable to help in.

What I Can & Can't Help With

You need to know what types of questions I can assist with to create the appropriate expectations:

✅ I Can Help With:

  • Feedback and recommendations as to how the tool can be improved.
  • Bugs or technical problems that you have on the site.
  • General questions on the features of the tool.

❌ I Cannot Help With:

  • Immigration official advice. I am not an immigration lawyer but I am a developer.
  • The photo can be rated as good enough by you, outside the automated requirements offered by the tool.
  • Replying to inquiries regarding your personal case in DV lottery or eligibility.
  • Ensuring that your photo will be accepted by the Department of State of the U.S.

All official inquiries of the DV Program are to be found in the American Department of State.

The most appropriate contact method is through email. I am going through all the messages and I will make my best to reply when I can. Do not forget that I am just a single individual running this site in Nepal (Time Zone: NPT, UTC +5:45) and therefore my response might be delayed.

In case you are experiencing technical issues, you can try such quick options:

1. Refresh the Page

Temporary glitches could be addressed by a simple refresh.

2. Clear Your Browser Cache

Obsolete information may not be good at times. Empty your cache and restart all over.

3. Check File Format

Make sure that your picture is a regular JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) picture.

This can be used to tell whether the problem is browser-specific.
